US West Coast steel producer California Steel Industries (CSI) has announced that it will increase prices for its flat rolled products in October.

SteelOrbis learns that CSI will raise its hot rolled coil (HRC) prices by $30/nt ($33/mt or $1.50 cwt.) for October shipments, while its prices for cold rolled coil (CRC) and hot-dipped galvanized (HDG) coil will rise by $40/nt ($44/mt or $2.00 cwt.).

These prices compare to Nucor's $30/nt minimum increase for HRC and CRC and $40/nt minimum increase for HDG, announced last week. Integrated US sheet producers AK Steel and US Steel will raise October flat rolled prices by $40/nt across all product lines (including HRC).
