CSC ups domestic flats prices for July/August

China Steel Corporation (CSC), the largest and only integrated steel mill in Taiwan, has announced its domestic flats prices for July/August shipments. The new prices are at the following levels:

NTD 21,430-21,960/mt ($655-671/mt)

CGI 0.50-1.20 mm

NTD 25,070-25,570/mt ($766-787/mt)

EGC 0.60-1.20 mm

NTD 21,600-22,100/mt ($660-676/mt)

All the above prices exclude VAT and are on actual weight and ex-works basis.

Due to the rebounding trend in the global and local markets as well as the settlement of the iron ore contract prices, CSC has decided to hike its prices by about seven percent on average for July/August shipments. Thus, compared to June, the HRC domestic price has been raised by NTD 1,730/mt ($53/mt), the CRC price increases by NTD 1,465/mt ($45/mt), HRP is up by NTD 210/mt ($6/mt), ES prices have risen by NTD 1,000/mt ($31/mt), while the price of CGI has increased by NTD 2,150/mt ($66/mt) and EGC prices are up by NTD 1,750/mt ($54/mt).
