CRC imports in Brazil are currently negotiated in average at $850/mt, CFR conditions, against $920/mt two weeks ago, according to sources.

In June, Brazil exported 1,700 mt of CRC, in average at $1,343/mt, and imported 23,800 mt of the product at $678/mt, both FOB conditions.

In the Brazilian domestic market, CRC of the basic commercial grades is offered in medium to large volumes by the producers at BRL 6,200/mt ($1,303/mt), against BRL 6,150/mt two weeks ago, ex-works, no taxes included.

Due to a period of reduced offer of steel products in the Brazilian domestic market, the premium in relation to the price of a similar imported product, after clearing customs, has reached 30 percent recently, according to the country`s steel distributors association INDA.
