During the week ending July 2, Chinese export offers of flat steel products have mostly followed a stable trend, though slight declines have been seen in export offer prices of hot rolled coil (HRC), hot rolled plate (HRP) and shipbuilding plate. At present, export offers for boron-added 5.75 mm HRC given by Chinese suppliers are at $345-355/mt FOB, while export offers for 1.0 mm cold rolled coil (CRC) given by Chinese suppliers are at $400-410/mt FOB.

Overseas demand has been slack in the traditional summer offseason, resulting in slow inquiries from international buyers. Steelmakers have said they are willing to allow some room for negotiation on prices for large volumes, while traders state that they are unable to reduce their offer prices further.
