Chinese PPGI market remains on stable trend

During the week ending February 24, pre-painted galvanized iron (PPGI) prices in the Chinese domestic market have maintained their stable trend. Average PPGI prices in China can be viewed in the SteelOrbis price reports section.
In the past three weeks, the Chinese PPGI market has been characterized by greater stability as compared with other domestic finished steel markets. Traders state that there has been an improvement in market activity. Most traders are now actively seeking more orders, instead of just hiking their offer prices, while they remain cautious on the prospects for the market in the coming period. Any recovery in the market is expected to be dependent on improvement of end-user demand. It is expected that the Chinese PPGI market will continue its stable trend in the coming week.
