SteelOrbis has been informed that SS400 3-12 mm x 1,500-2,000 mm x C boron-added hot rolled coil (HRC) offers given from China via traders to the export markets are currently standing at the price level of $630/mt FOB on actual weight basis and for October shipment.
Influenced by the national policy for energy saving and emissions reduction, in recent days the provinces of Shanxi, Hebei, Jiangsu and Zhejiang have started to limit the usage of electricity and so the prices of billet, strips, hot rolled coils and construction steel have risen sharply. Currently, most of China's mills and traders have stopped giving export quotations for hot rolled coils. As learned from market sources, the domestic price of hot rolled coils will reach about $630/mt FOB after the increase.
