Average export offer prices of most Chinese flat steel products have indicated a rising trend in the past week. At present, export offers for boron-added 5.75 mm hot rolled coil (HRC) given by Chinese suppliers are at $410-420/mt FOB, while export offers for 1.0 mm cold rolled coil (CRC) given by Chinese suppliers are in the range of $450-470/mt FOB.
Ahead of the G20 Summit in Hangzhou on September 4-5, some steelmakers’ production operations have been restricted because of environmental protection measures, exerting a positive impact on domestic flat steel market prices and also influencing Chinese flat steel export offer prices in the given week.
