During the week ending July 1, average pre-painted galvanized iron (PPGI) quotations in the Chinese domestic market have moved on a stable trend, while transaction activity in the overall market has been at low levels. Average PPGI prices in the local Chinese market are presented in the following table.
During the given week, due to rebounds seen in some domestic finished steel product prices, confidence among market players has improved. However, real demand for PPGI has not increased significantly and so prices have trended sideways. It is thought that PPGI prices in the Chinese domestic market will likely continue their stable trend in the coming week.
