Demand is weak in the Vietnamese flat steel market and buyers have been hesitating to conclude high volume purchases.
Hot rolled coil (HRC) prices in the Vietnamese domestic market are at $550-555/mt ex-warehouse, while cold rolled coil (CRC) prices stand at $670-675/mt ex-works. Meanwhile, rerolling quality HRC of 2 mm thickness are now being quoted at $560-565/mt ex-warehouse.
On the import side, Chinese HRC offers to Vietnam are now at $550-555/mt CFR. In the meantime, offers for rerolling quality HRC of 2 mm thickness from China can be found at $565-575/mt CFR, while offers from Japan are at $590/mt CFR, South Korean offers are at $575-580/mt CFR and Indian materials are at the level of $570/mt CFR.
