On July 20, Liaoning Province-based Chinese steel producer Bensteel announced upward adjustments to its ex-works flat steel prices for August production. The details are as follows:
1. HR
HR prices have increased by RMB 300/mt ($43/mt) from the July price level. Thus, the new price of 2.75 mm Q235 is at RMB 3,760/mt ($550/mt) while the new price of 5.75 mm Q235 is at RMB 3,690/mt ($540/mt).
2. CR
CR prices have risen by RMB 430/mt ($62/mt) from the price level for July. Accordingly, the new price of 1.0 mm DC01 is at RMB 4,460/mt ($653/mt).
3. HDG
HDG prices have increased by RMB 430/mt ($62/mt) from July levels. As a result, the price of 1.0 mm SGCC stands at RMB 4,710/mt ($689/mt).
4. PPGI
PPGI prices have increased by RMB 500/mt ($73/mt) from July levels. Thus, the new price of 0.47 mm TDC51D is at RMB 5,750/mt ($841/mt).
The above prices, which are effective for bookings as of July 20, do not include 17 percent VAT.
