Major Chinese steelmaker Baosteel has issued its prices for carbon steel flat products for delivery in September. The details are as follows (comparisons are with August delivery prices):
1. Hot rolled coil (HRC):
The price of BS600MC grade has remained stable, the price of 1E0650 grade has risen by $40.8/mt, while the prices of other HRC products are up $24.5/mt.
2. Hot rolled pickled products:
Product prices have risen by $19.6/mt.
3. Cold rolled (CR) products:
I) Prices of common quality (CQ) and drawing quality (DQ) materials from Baosteel's main steel production base are up $19.6/mt, while the prices of other materials have remained stable.
II) Products from Baosteel subsidiary Meishan Steel are $8/mt lower in price than products from the main steel base.
4. Hot dip galvanized (HDG):
I) Prices of common quality (CQ) products, S series structural steel products and hot rolled pickled HDG from the main steel base are up $19.6/mt, while the prices of other HDG products have remained stable.
II) Prices of products from Meishan Steel have risen by $19.6/mt.
5. Electro-galvanized (EG) products:
Prices of common quality products are up $19.6/mt, while the prices of other products are unchanged.
6. Coating products:
Prices of coating products are up $19.6/mt.
7. Galvalume:
Prices of galvalume products are up $19.6/mt.
8. Non-grain-oriented (NGO) electrical steel prices
Prices of B50 and B65 non-grain-oriented (NGO) electrical steel are up $19.6/mt, while the prices of other products have remained stable.
9. Grain-oriented (GO) electrical steel prices
Prices of grain-oriented (GO) electrical steel are up $19.6/mt.
All the above price changes are effective from August 14 and exclude 17 percent VAT
