Major Chinese steel producer Baosteel has issued its carbon flat steel prices for September delivery, announcing decreased prices for many products. The details are as follows (comparisons being with August levels):
1. HR products
Hot rolled coil prices are unchanged from August levels.
2. Pickling products
Prices have increased by RMB 300/mt ($44/mt).
3. CR products
1) Prices of main steel base products have remained unchanged.
2) Stainless steel division products' prices are RMB 100/mt ($14/mt) lower than main steel base products.
3) Prices of Baosteel Group Shanghai Meishan Co., Ltd are RMB 400/mt ($58/mt) lower than the prices of main steel base products.
4. HDG
1) Prices of main steel base products are unchanged from August levels.
2) Baosteel Group Shanghai Meishan Co.,Ltd products: prices up by RMB 200/mt($29/mt).
5. Electric galvanized prices are unchanged from August levels.
6. Galvalume: all up RMB 150/mt ($22/mt), Baosteel Group Shanghai Meishan Co.,Ltd product is RMB 100/mt ($14/mt) lower than main steel base product.
7. Color coated (August-September): all remained unchanged from July-August prices.
8. Electrical steel
1) Non-grain-oriented electrical steel: all prices are up by RMB 500/mt ($73/mt).
2) Grain-oriented electrical steel: all prices are down by RMB 800/mt ($117/mt).
9. All heavy plate prices are up by RMB 200/mt ($29/mt).
All the above prices are effective from August 16 and include 17% VAT.
