ArcelorMittal USA LLC announces flat rolled price increase

Effective immediately with all new quotations, ArcelorMittal USA LLC will be increasing their spot market base prices on all new orders for hot rolled, cold rolled and coated products by a minimum of $20/nt for hot rolled coil and by a minimum of $30/nt for cold rolled coil and coated steel. According to the letter, these increases are necessary in order to restore some level of profitability to ArcelorMittal USA LLC's business. The company further states that they have experienced an increase in order entry of products due to a reduction in inventories and the continued strength of the consumer driven industries, automotive and appliances.
