AK Steel lifts stainless and electrical steel surcharges

West Chester, Ohio-based AK Steel announced Wednesday that a $400/nt surcharge will be added to invoices for electrical steel products shipped in April 2011.

The surcharges are based on reported prices for raw materials and energy used to manufacture the products, with the February 2011 purchase cost used to determine the April 2011 surcharges.
