Turkish automobile market is growth record holder

Turkey showed the highest growth rate in 2004 automobile sales with 98.7% in Europe and advanced to no.5 with sales of 451'209 units. According to the European Automobile Manufacturers Association (ACEA) and Automotive Manufacturers Association (OSD) data, Turkey sold 451'209 automobiles last year. This figure was 98.7% higher than 2003 result. Turkey advanced to eighth-highest automobile market of Europe with sales of 451'209 units. Germany maintained its market leadership in Europe with sales of 3.27 million automobile last year. Turkey, which surged to eighth row after Germany, England, Italy, France, Spain, Belgium and the Netherlands, surpassed Australia, Greece, Switzerland, Sweden and Poland.
