Iran to export 1.1 million tons of iron ore in 2005
Iran will export 880'000 tons of iron ore worth $30 million to Chinese, Japanese and South Korean companies in 2005. Several contracts have been signed with Iran Central Iron Ore Company (Bafg). Iran will export 240'000 tons of iron ore to Japan and the same amount to South Korea. China will import 400'000 tons of iron ore from Iran. Iran has already reached an agreement with Pakistan to export 250'000 tons of iron ore to that country in the same year.
