Belarus posts its industrial growth

Belarus reported the highest industrial growth among CIS countries in Jan-Aug period. The CIS Interstate Statistical Committee said that country's industrial growth amounted to 15% in the mentioned period. Industrial growth was recorded as 14.8% in Tajikistan, 14.4% in Ukraine, 11% in Kyrgyzstan, 9.8% in Kazakhstan, 9.2% in Moldova, 7.4% in Georgia, 6.9% in Russia, 4.6% in Azerbaijan and 2.8% in Armenia. The figures have not been released for Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. CIS' industrial growth was 8% in the first eight months compared to the same period of last year. GDP (Gross Domestic Product) also grew by 8% in CIS.
