ZPSS to establish a melt shop and hot strip mill

Stainless Steel (ZPSS) is reportedly planning to establish a melt shop and hot rolling plant by the end of 2004. The mill, which will produce hot rolled
stainless steel, will supply its products to ZPSS' cold rolling mill in late 2006 or early 2007.
ZPSS officials stated that 90% of the products of the hot rolling plant will be supplied to the cold rolling mill, which has an annual
production capacity of 400'000 tons.
The remaining 10% part will be allocated for domestic sales and exports.
