Zhengzhou Commodity Exchange to trade steam coal futures as of Sept 26

On September 23, China's Zhengzhou Commodity Exchange (ZCE) announced that it will start trading of steam coal futures on September 26. Trading is expected to be in units of 200 mt, while the benchmark price for each type of futures will be RMB 520/mt ($84.97/mt), with a standard fee for each transaction of RMB 8. In addition, ZCE also stated that the delivery ports for steam coal will include Tianjin and Qinghuangdao, along with seven other ports. Meanwhile, five companies have been named as providers of delivery warehouses. Both the ports and warehouses in question will commence related operations on November 15 this year.
