Zaporizhstal’s crude steel output down three percent in Q1

In March this year, Ukrainian steelmaker Zaporizhstal's finished steel product output decreased by 3.12 percent year on year to 273,300 mt, its pig iron production moved up by 6.66 percent to 286,500 mt, while its crude steel production rose by 9.24 percent year on year to 325,000 mt, according to the company's preliminary results.
 
In the first quarter of the year, Zaporizhstal saw a 8.86 percent year-on-year decrease in its finished steel product output to 790,300 mt and a 8.89 percent year-on-year decrease in its pig iron output to 828,500 mt, while its crude steel production declined by three percent year on year to 944,500 mt.
