Zaporizhstal's crude steel output down 7.7 percent in January

In January this year, Ukrainian steelmaker Zaporizhstal's finished steel product output decreased by 10.4 percent year on year to 270,000 mt, its pig iron production moved down by 16.7 percent to 287,700 mt, while its crude steel production decreased by 7.7 percent year on year to 326,200 mt, according to the company's results.
 
According to Zaporizhstal, it recorded reduced production figures in January this year due to the planned stoppage of blast furnace No. 3 for a large-scale ecological reconstruction, costing an investment of UAH 1.5 billion ($55.65 million).
