Zaporizhstal’s crude steel output down 1.4 percent in May

In May this year, Ukrainian steelmaker Zaporizhstal's finished steel product output increased by 13.4 percent year on year to 307,100 mt, its pig iron production moved up by nine percent to 311,100 mt, while its crude steel production fell by 1.4 percent year on year to 320,400 mt, according to the company's results.

In the January-May period this year, Zaporizhstal saw a 13.8 percent year-on-year increase in its finished steel product output to 1.51 million mt and a 28.5 percent year-on-year rise in its pig iron output to 1.79 million mt, while its crude steel production went up by 7.3 percent year on year to 1.70 million mt.
