Zaporizhstal’s crude steel output down 13.6 percent in July

In July this year, Ukrainian steelmaker Zaporizhstal's finished steel product output decreased by 12.7 percent year on year to 246,800 mt, its pig iron production went down by 16 percent to 260,600 mt, while its crude steel production declined by 13.6 percent year on year to 284,600 mt, due to the shutdown in July this year for the overhaul of blast furnace No. 4 for a period of 30 days, according to the company's preliminary results. 
 
In the January-July period, Zaporizhstal saw a 1.2 percent year-on-year increase in its finished steel product output to 1.98 million mt, while its crude steel production decreased by a very slight margin of 0.06 percent year on year to 2.27 million mt.
