Xuanhua Steel's long steel sales up 21.59% in Jan-Aug

On September 16, Chinese steelmaker Hebei Iron and Steel Group announced that in the January-August period of the current year its Zhangjiakou, Hebei-based subsidiary Xuanhua Steel sold 1.08 million mt of long steel, including rebar and wire rod, up 190,000 mt or 21.59 percent year on year.

Meanwhile, Hebei Iron and Steel Group has also announced that its Handan, Hebei-based subsidiary Handan Iron and Steel Co. (Hansteel) has been named as a supplier for the metro line 1 project in the city of Shijiazhuang in Hebei Province. Accordingly, Hansteel will supply 100,000 mt of HRB 400E rebar for the project in question.
