Xuanhua Steel starts mass production of HRB 500 rebar

Hebei Province-based Chinese steel producer Xuanhua Iron and Steel, a subsidiary of Hebei Iron and Steel Group, has announced the successful production of a batch of 1,500 mt of HRB 500 rebars, marking its start of mass production of this product.

The product in question is mainly applied in large hydraulic projects and in large framework use in industrial and private constructions, as well as in the building of highways, nuclear power stations and railways. In August 2009 Xuanhua Steel initially developed the product, which was then used in the Beijing-Shanghai High-speed Railway construction project.

The company's daily output of HRB 500 rebars now exceeds 1,400 mt.
