Heilongjiang Province-based Chinese steel producer Xilin Steel has announced that it has started mass production of 28 mm and 32 mm diameter round bars.

In order to expand its product range and to meet market demand for round bars, Xilin Steel decided to adopt a full tandem rolling process to replace the original transverse rolling technique. In December last year, Xilin Steel carried out trial production for the two round bar sizes in question. Surface quality and performance were found to be in line with GB/T700 2008 standard.
