Henan Province-based Chinese steel producer Wuyang Iron and Steel Co. (Wuyang Steel), subsidiary of Chinese steel giant Hebei Iron and Steel Group, has stated that it has successfully produced 4,000 mt of high-strength wear-resistant steel plates for heavy vehicle production, thereby expanding its product range.
As stated by Wuyang Steel, up to now the steel plate products in question have had to be imported into China at high prices, while at present it is the only steel producer in China able to produce these products.
