Wuyang Steel becomes largest overseas supplier of SPP Shipbuilding

According to Chinese steelmaker Hebei Iron and Steel Group, its Hebei-based subsidiary Wuyang Iron and Steel has become the largest overseas supplier of South Korea-based shipbuilding company SPP Shipbuilding Co. Ltd.

SPP Shipbuilding recently signed agreements with Wuyang Steel to purchase 5,000 mt of shipbuilding steel plates. The two companies have to date signed a total of eight orders for the supply of shipbuilding steel plates from Wuyang Steel to SPP, amounting to an overall tonnage of 35,000 mt.

Wuyang Iron and Steel Company's annual output capacity for high-strength shipbuilding steel plates stands at over 500,000 mt. In addition, the company is a supplier of many of the major shipyards across the world.
