Wuhan Baosteel Can-making Co. to be built in Wuhan Development Zone

Wuhan Development Zone has been chosen as the location for the construction of Wuhan Baosteel Can-making Co. Ltd, which will be built with a total investment of RMB 252 million ($37 million), with trial production expected to start in December this year.

The company, a subsidiary of major Chinese steel producer Baosteel, will produce 480 million aluminum cans per year, achieving more than RMB 300 million ($44 million) in annual sales revenues after its completion.

The company will mostly produce 330 ml and 350 ml aluminum cans, used for various soft drinks, beer and tea. The products will mainly be supplied to six Chinese provinces, including Hubei, Hunan, Anhui, Jiangxi, Shanxi and Henan.
