Welspun announces second round of expansion at Arkansas pipe plant

According to local media reports, India-based global pipe manufacturer Welspun Corporation, Ltd. announced on Thursday that it will be expanding its Little Rock, Arkansas facility for the second time. Welspun will be investing $100 million into its first North American large-diameter pipe manufacturer. This expansion will also add about 200 jobs to the Little Rock area and expand its production of steel pipes to include 6 inch to 20 inch ERW pipe. The facility currently has a production capacity of 350,000 tons of pipe.
