Vyksa Steel Works’ steel pipe output down 32 percent in January-July

Vyksa Steel Works, a part of Russia-based OMK Group, has announced its production results for July and the first seven months of the current year.

Accordingly, in the January-July period Vyksa Steel Works' output of steel pipes amounted to 754,000 mt, down 32.4 percent year on year, including 354,400 mt of large diameter tubes. In July alone, Vyksa Steel Works produced 95,700 mt of steel pipes, including 51,100 mt of large diameter pipes.

In the first seven months of 2012, Vyksa Steel Works increased its output of railway wheels by 11.5 percent year on year to 491,200 wheels. In July this year, Vyksa Steel Works produced 72,800 railway wheels, up 37 percent compared to July 2011.
