Volkswagen to expand auto production at Mexican facility

Volkswagen plans to invest $1 million to expand a facility in the city if Puebla, in the state of Puebla, Mexico, according to media reports.

The investment is directed to the expansion of the production of Tigual model autos, specifically for the US market, where Volkswagen reportedly plans to revitalize its presence.

According to the company, it produced about 515,000 vehicles and 786,000 engines at the Puebla plant in 2014.
