Vietnam’s coal exports total 6.64 million mt in first five months

According to Vietnam's general statistics office, Vietnamese coal exports totaled 6.64 million mt in the January-May period of the current year. down 25 percent year on year. In addition, the value of the country's coal exports in this period amounted to $638 million, roughly unchanged year on year due to higher coal prices.

In the first four months of this year, over 70 percent of Vietnam's coal exports went to China, 13 percent went to South Korea, while Japan accounted for 11 percent.
