Vallourec to develop carbon transportation technology

France-based pipe manufacturer Vallourec has announced that it has signed a memorandum of understanding with German chemical company Evonik Industries for the development of tubular solutions for carbon capture, utilization and storage (CCUS).

The parties will develop a corrosion-resistant carbon transportation technology.

The given agreement will allow Vallourec to develop a lining technology for its seamless line pipes for carbon transport using Evonik’s portfolio of high-performance polymers.
