Vallourec starts delivering pipes for oil project in Nigeria

French pipe producer Vallourec has announced that it has delivered its first tons of premium subsea line pipe, out of a package of 24,000 mt, for the offshore Egina oil field operated by Total Upstream Nigeria. The field is currently under development and production is scheduled to begin at the end of 2017.
 
16,000 mt of flowlines will be used as production, water injection and gas export lines. An additional 8,000 mt of seamless line pipe will follow for a riser pipe-in-pipe construction.
 
Vallourec stated that the company has complied with Nigerian local content requirements relating to this project.
