The US Department of Commerce (DOC) announced Wednesday the final results of its administrative review of the antidumping order on circular welded non-alloy steel pipe (standard pipe) from Korea

The review originally covered eight Korean producers/exporters – Husteel Co., Ltd.; Hyundai HYSCO; Dongbu Steel Co., Ltd.; SeAH Steel Corporation; A-JU Besteel Co., Ltd.; Kumkang Industrial Co., Ltd.; Nexteel Co., Ltd.; and Union Steel Co., Ltd. – during the period from November 1, 2012 through October 31, 2013.

The DOC previously rescinded the reviews of Dongbu Steel Co., Ltd.; SeAH Steel Corporation; A-JU Besteel Co., Ltd.; Kumkang Industrial Co., Ltd.; Nexteel Co., Ltd.; and Union Steel Co., Ltd. because the requests for reviews of those companies were withdrawn.

The DOC calculated final dumping margins of 1.05 percent for Husteel and 0.80 percent for Hyundai HYSCO.  These compare with the preliminary dumping margins of 1.15 percent for Husteel and 2.02 percent for Hyundai HYSCO and with the previous dumping duty deposit rates of 0.59 percent for Husteel and 3.39 percent for Hyundai HYSCO.

Accordingly, effective today, June 10, 2015, the dumping duty deposit rates became 1.05 percent for Husteel and 0.80 percent for Hyundai HYSCO.  In addition, the DOC will send instructions to U.S. Customs and Border Protection to liquidate imports that were entered during the period of review at the applicable dumping rate.
