US structural pipe and tube exports rise 15.3 percent in May

US exports of structural pipe and tube totaled 13,271 mt in May, up 15.3 percent from April and up 5.4 percent from May 2016 levels. By value, structural pipe and tube exports totaled $16.9 million in May, compared to $14.3 million in the previous month and $13.6 million the same month last year.

The US shipped the most structural pipe and tube to Canada in May with 9,368 mt, compared to 8,178 mt in April and 8,365 mt in May 2016. Other destinations included Mexico, with 2,981 mt. No other significant destinations (1,000 mt or more) of US export structural pipe and tube were recorded in May.
