US rig counts decrease while Canadian rig counts increase

According to the latest report by Baker Hughes, for the week ending February 3, the Canadian rig count increased by 28 to 710 rigs and was up 84 year-on-year.

The US rig count decreased during the week ending February 3, decreasing by 11 to 1,997 rigs and remained up 258 year-on-year. Oil rigs increased last week by 20 to 1,245 and were up 427 rigs from the same week a year ago, while gas rigs decreased by 32 to 745, and were down 166 rigs year-on-year.
