Baker Hughes has reported that for the week ending April 28, 2023, the US rotary rig count increased by two to 755 rigs.
The number of rigs drilling for gas increased by two to 161, while the number of rigs drilling for oil remained at 591. The overall US rig count is up by 57 rigs in a year-on-year comparison.
Meanwhile, the Canadian rig count decreased by 12 to 93 rigs in the week ending April 28. The Canadian rig count is down by two rigs compared to the same reporting period last year.
