Baker Hughes has reported that for the week ending November 26 the US rig count decreased by 12 to 1,917 following a one-rig increase the week before. The gas rig count decreased by 11 to 344, whereas the oil rig count decreased by two to 1,572. The overall rig count is still up by 154 from 1,763 rigs during the same week a year ago.
Meanwhile, the Canadian rig count increased by four in the week ending November 26 to reach 438 following a 32-rig increase the previous week. The Canadian rig count is up by 53 from 385 rigs during the same week a year ago.
