US rebar exports up 11.6 percent in March

According to export data from the US Department of Commerce, US exports of rebar totaled 21,986 mt in March 2023, up 11.6 percent from February and up 1.3 percent from March 2022. By value, rebar exports totaled $18.3 million in March, compared to $17.1 million in the previous month and $21.8 million the same month last year.

The US shipped the most rebar to Canada in March with 19,660 mt, compared to 18,219 mt in February and 19,677 mt in March 2022. Other top destinations included Dominican Republic, with 1,143 mt. There were no other significant destinations (1,000 mt or more) for US rebar for exports in March.
