US rebar exports down 19.7 percent in June

According to export data from the US Department of Commerce, US exports of rebar totaled 18,922 mt in June 2023, down 19.7 percent from May and down 26.3 percent from June 2022. By value, rebar exports totaled $17.5 million in June, compared to $21.9 million in the previous month and $28.5 million the same month last year.

The US shipped the most rebar to Canada in June with 15,635 mt, compared to 19,273 mt in May and 23,721 mt in June 2022. Other top destinations included Dominican Republic, with 1,261 mt. There were no other significant destinations (1,000 mt or more) for US rebar exports in June.
