US pig iron imports in 2017

According to US preliminary customs data, the US imported 5.13 million mt of pig iron into the US in 2017. Of the total imports per country of origin, 2.78 million mt was from Russia (54 percent), 1.14 million mt was from Ukraine (22 percent), 0.92 million mt was from Brazil (18 percent), 0.13 million mt was from South Africa (3 percent), and 0.07 million was from India (1 percent), and other 0.09 million mt (2 percent).
