US pig iron import value doubles in H1 2017

According to US trade numbers published by WorldCity, US import of pig iron doubled to $785 million in the first six months of 2017 compared to $357 million in the same six-month period in 2016. The top three sources of US pig iron imports were Russia, Ukraine and Brazil. Of the total value, 64.38 percent shipped to New Orleans, 16.69 percent to Mobile, and 15.46 percent to Charleston.
