US OCTG exports rise 0.8 percent in June

According to US Department of Commerce census export data, US exports of oil country tubular goods (OCTG) totaled 32,069 mt in June, up 0.8 percent from May but up 102.0 percent from June 2016 levels. By value, OCTG exports totaled $54.5 million in June, compared to $80.8 million in the previous month and $46.5 million the same month last year.

The US shipped the most OCTG to Canada in June with 24,056 mt, compared to 24,328 mt in May and 8,669 mt in June 2016. Other top destinations included Mexico, with 1,785 mt; and Equatorial Guinea, with 1,097 mt. There were no other major destinations (over 1,000 mt) for US OCTG exports in June.
