US mechanical tubing exports down 2.4 percent in March

According to export data from the US Department of Commerce, US exports of mechanical tubing totaled 6,781 mt in March 2023, down 2.4 percent from February but up 2.1 percent from March 2022. By value, mechanical tubing exports totaled $20.1 million in March, compared to $19.3 million in the previous month and $21.9 million the same month last year.

The US shipped the most mechanical tubing to Canada in March with 3,489 mt, compared to 2,772 mt in February and 1,793 mt in March 2022. Other top destinations included Mexico, with 2,629 mt. There were no other significant destinations (1,000 mt or more) for US mechanical tubing exports in March.
