US mechanical tubing exports down 20.2 percent in July

According to export data from the US Department of Commerce, US exports of mechanical tubing totaled 4,994 mt in July 2023, down 20.2 percent from June but down 9.4 percent from July 2022. By value, mechanical tubing totaled $14.4 million in July, compared to $18.7 million in the previous month and $17.1 million the same month last year.

The US shipped the most mechanical tubing to Mexico in July with 2,716 mt, compared to 3,137 mt in June and 2,730 mt in July 2022. Other top destinations included Canada, with 1,938 mt. There were no other significant destinations (1,000 mt or more) for US mechanical tubing exports in July.
