US line pipe exports surge 83.7 percent in March

US exports of line pipe totaled 11,505 mt in March, up 83.7 percent from February and up 186.4 percent from March 2016 levels. By value, line pipe exports totaled $19.6 million in March, compared to $11.6 million in the previous month and $11.9 million the same month last year.
 
The US shipped the most line pipe to Canada in March, with 8,105 mt, compared to 3,427 mt in February and 663 mt in March 2016. There were no other significant destinations (1,000 mt or more) for US line pipe exports in March.
