The US International Trade Commission (ITC) announced Thursday that it has lifted the existing countervailing duty (CVD) order on imports of hot rolled steel from Brazil, and the existing antidumping (AD) duty orders on imports of hot rolled steel from Brazil and Japan. A four-to-two vote determined that revoking the duties won't harm the US steel industry.

The US ITC also determined unanimously that the existing suspended antidumping duty investigation on imports of hot rolled flat carbon steel from Russia would be likely to lead to continuation or recurrence of material injury within a reasonably foreseeable time. Based on the ITC's determination, the existing suspended AD duty investigation of hot rolled flats from Russian will remain suspended.
