On Friday, October 30, the US International Trade Commission (ITC) made an affirmative preliminary determination in the antidumping (AD) and countervailing duty (CVD) investigations of seamless carbon and alloy steel standard, line and pressure pipe from China. The determination was based on threat of material injury.

As the result of the ITC's determination, these investigations will continue, and the US Department of Commerce (DOC) will conduct full-scale AD and CVD investigations of seamless pipe from China.

Within the next three weeks, the ITC will publish its written determination which will contain an explanation of its decision.
